Southern Hills Hospital Opens RISE Behavioral Health Unit
Southern Hills Hospital is proud to provide its newest service to the community: RISE (Respect, Inspire, Strengthen, Empower) Behavioral Health, a 14-bed specialty unit serving ages 55 and over.
RISE offers inpatient acute treatment and, now, provides an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). The RISE Senior Intensive Outpatient Program is a weekly group therapy program, which meets three days per week. The IOP is designed to meet the mental health treatment needs of patients who are ages 50 and older. The IOP runs Monday through Wednesday from 9:00am - 1:00pm. Treatment will last approximately six to eight weeks, depending on the individual and their progress.
Southern Hills Hospital’s Behavioral Health Department provides assessment for seniors with behavioral health concerns and those with co-occurring medical issues. The program meets a critical community need, and, with its specialized services, is expected to become a vital resource for Arizona, California, Southern Nevada and Utah.
This unit treats behavioral health needs, including, but not limited to:
