Las Vegas, NV - On Saturday, July 27th Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center welcomed hundreds of families to their campus for the first annual Back to School Bash. Southern Hills Hospital employees know the financial burden back to school shopping can have for local families, so they wanted to help. Each Department within the hospital competed to see who could donate the most school supplies for the Back to School Bash.

Hundreds of families lined up to get those school supplies. The event also featured community partners including AMR, Clark County School District Police Department, Nevada Highway Patrol, and more. Those in attendance were also treated to a free BMX show, free vision and BMI screenings, as well as free food and snow cones.

Congresswoman Susie Lee, Nevada Assemblyman Steve Yeager, and Assemblyman Alex Assefa were also in attendance and addressed the crowd.

More than 1,000 people came to the event which lasted for three hours. Southern Hills Hospital hopes this event becomes an annual tradition.
