Las Vegas, NV - Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center received the Platinum Award from the Nevada Donor Network for their work in saving lives through organ donation. The Hospital was recognized in particular for the Workplace Partnership for Life Campaign which aims to raise awareness for organ donation and to register people to become organ donors.

In 2020, Southern Hills Hospital helped save 7 lives through organ donation, with the gifts of 1 heart, 2 livers and 4 kidneys. Additionally, in 2020 Southern Hills had 12 cornea donors and 11 tissue donors. One ocular and tissue donor can save or heal up to 75 lives

Southern Hills Hospital also brought awareness to organ donation with the Nevada Donor Network through multiple campaigns including an honor walk for a patient named Summer Kearney which garnered more than 1.5 million views across multiple social media channels. Southern Hills Hospital also partnered with the Nevada Donor Network for the first organ delivery using a drone in Nevada.

In supporting the Workplace Partnership for Life Campaign, Southern Hills Hospital and 1,700 other hospitals helped add 59,00 donor registrations between October 2019 and May of 2020.
