Las Vegas, NV – Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of neurology to the residency programs offer through their Graduate Medical Education program. Southern Hills Hospital's GME program is a part of the Sunrise Health Graduate Medical Education Consortium.

“Southern Hills Hospital is excited about our new neurology residency program,” said Alexis Mussi, Chief Executive Officer of Southern Hills Hospital. “At Southern Hills we believe in training the future physicians of Nevadan and believe this residency has the potential to attract the next generation of physicians into our medical community.”

The neurology residency program is a four year, ACGME-accredited program designed to prepare residents for a career in diagnosing and treating diseases and disorders associated with the nervous system and muscles. The program will contain extensive classroom and clinical training.

Currently Southern Hills Hospital has six programs through their GME including family medicine, transitional year, psychiatry, gastroenterology, and addiction medicine.

The new residency will accept three residents per academic year. The neurology is recruiting now, and is set to begin in July.,/p>
