Current visitor policy

Effective March 30th, Southern Hills Hospital will be extending our visitor hours to 24/7 and will no longer be limiting the number of visitors per patient. This change includes allowing those under the age of 18 into Southern Hills Hospital as well.

For the safety of our patients and visitors, we will still be limiting visitation to patients who are COVID+ or PUI, and we will continue to require visitors to wear a mask when they enter the hospital.

Visitation guidelines for our Behavioral Health Unit

Please note that visitation policies for our Behavioral Health Unit differ from those of the rest of the hospital. This is to ensure our patients' safety, privacy, and therapeutic environment.

Visiting Hours:

  • Pods A, B, & C:
    • Daily from 4:00pm to 5:00pm
  • Pod D:
    • Daily from 3:00pm to 4:00pm

Guidelines:

  • Personal belongings such as bags, cell phones, keys, and others are not permitted in the unit. We have a limited number of complimentary lockers available in the lobby for your convenience.
  • Visitors must sign in at the Pavilion's front desk. They will be scanned with a metal detector and provided with a visitor badge that must be worn for the duration of their visit.
  • All visitors must be 18 years of age or older. Small children are not allowed to wait unattended in the lobby.
  • Each patient is allowed a maximum of two visitors at a time.
  • Each patient is assigned a unique four-digit code. Visitors must be able to provide this code in order to visit.
  • Visitors should be prepared to show photo identification at check-in.
  • Visitation for a patient may be subject to clinical discretion based on the patient's current condition.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a supportive and secure environment for our patients. For more information or specific inquiries, please contact the behavioral health unit at (702) 916-7775.

Circumstances may allow for specific exceptions to any visitation restrictions described on this webpage. Those circumstances include religious visitation as well as a designated support person for a patient with a disability to provide assistance with communication or other necessary components of the patient's treatment. All persons entering under an exception remain subject to appropriate infection control protocols.
